Flow Cytometry Core Facility
Carina Rumold operates the FACSAria
Facility Use Information
The Flow Cytometry Core provides instrumentation and technical assistance
for performing analysis and purification of cells based on light scattering
and fluorescent labeling. Flow cytometry is a powerful tool used to obtain
quantitative data from large numbers of cells very quickly, enabling the
classification and/or isolation of a wide range of cell types into discrete
cellular subsets. The facility is currently equipped with one benchtop analyzer
(FACSCalibur) and a state-of-the-art cell sorter (FACSAria) as well as several
workstations for data analysis.
