Construction Begins
Construction on the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center's new research facility is now underway! This state of the art, 71,000 square foot building is set to be completed in December of 2006. The completion of this facility will allow SKCC to recruit clinician scientists who will expand the opportunities for new cancer treatments as well as help the SKCC translate its laboratory discoveries into the clinic.

Neiman Marcus Luncheon and Fashion Review
On Thursday, October 27, Neiman Marcus hosted a luncheon and fashion review on behalf of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Guests were greeted with a champagne reception, a delightful four course meal, and a fashion review with the latest winter styles from top designers.

The highlight of the afternoon was a presentation by photographer and author Connie Zucker Reider, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995. Her words and images touch people's hearts and bring emotions to life.

The afternoon concluded with a drawing for a Neiman Marcus afternoon of pampering. The lucky winner and seven of her friends will be treated to a limo ride to Neiman Marcus, breakfast at the Zodiac Restaurant, makeovers, and $100 gift certificates.

This event raised over $5,000 for the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.

SAVE THE DATE! SKCC Announces 2006 Golf for Life Date
The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center will host its 10th Annual Golf for Life Charity Classic on Monday, May 22, 2006. Fairbanks Ranch Country Club will be the new venue, with a Shotgun Start at 12:00. Funds generated by Golf for Life give our scientists the opportunity to pursue the cures and treatments of tomorrow. Entry includes green fees, golf clinic, Titleist tee prizes, professional warm-ups, lunch, cocktail reception, and awards banquet.
