SKCC Annual Trustees Dinner Meeting
The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center held its Annual Trustees Dinner Meeting on January 11 at Fresh Restaurant in La Jolla. The dinner was hosted by restaurant owner Sami Ladeki. Attendees were treated to a 5 star meal as they discussed the exciting future of the SKCC.

Dr. Jan Schnitzer Honored
Dr. Jan Schnitzer, Scientific Director of the Cancer Center, is being honored as one of San Diego Magazine's 50 People to Watch in 2006. He is recognized as one of the leading cancer researchers in the country, if not the world. He is being honored for his visionary research in nanotechnology and for developing cancer therapies that use breakthrough "Zip Code" technology.

Construction Update
The progress on the new Cancer Research Center is becoming more and more dramatic. The basement walls have neared completion this week. We are still on track for a Topping Off Ceremony in late March.

Golf for Life Charity Classic
It's not too early to be thinking about the 2006 Golf for Life Charity Classic! This year's event will take place on May 22 at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club.
